Kanile’a Introduces New MT-4, KCS, and Willie K Models at Summer NAMM 2017: Video

At Summer NAMM 2017, Kanile`a head Joe Souza introduced a new version of its MT-4 EQ model, a tenor ukulele with mahogany front, back, and sides, tortoiseshell front and back binding, and an onboard preamp and pickup.

Also on display were the KCS and Willie K models. The KCS comes with a Curly Koa body, ebony fretboard, bridge, and headplate, and Kanile`a Crown slotted headstock. The Willie K is a five-string tenor model made in partnership with the musician Uncle Willie K. It comes with a scoop bevel cutaway and armrest, 19-inch scale length, and Cobra slotted headstock.
