Seattle Man Plays Ukulele For Woman Stuck in Elevator

When a large power outage in downtown Seattle left a woman stranded in an elevator, a ukulele player knew just what might help ease a frightening situation.

When the woman was trapped between the floors of the Seattle Foundation and the office above, Ruel Olanday, an employee of the foundation, grabbed the ukulele he frequently brings to work and began to play and sing for her when the elevator stopped between floors, May 25.

KIRO news in Seattle reports that elevator was stuck for nearly an hour, and that the two met after the power was restored.

Officials from the foundation shared brief video on social media and several location stations picked up the story.
