Tons of New Kala Ukes (Elvis, Sparkle, Surf-inspired, and More) on Display at Winter NAMM 2020

Kala brought a truckload of new ukuleles to NAMM 2020, and we checked out a good handful of them. First up, the company showed us its new models in the Ukedelics line, with custom graphics and new colors. Also new is the Surf series, inspired by vintage longboards. The Learn To Play series has been expanded to include three King-inspired ukes, named after Elvis songs from his Hawaii era. The sparkle series has also been expanded to include new colors and designs.

The higher end ukuleles have also been expanded to include nontraditional woods. The ziricote model has a high-gloss finish with lightweight Graph Tech Ratio tuners. Also new is a solid bamboo model available in soprano, concert, and tenor sizes. And finally, the new Elite Rosewood Tenor ukulele has a big projection and a sweet sound.
